Yeah, maybe that guy told that CHP that he would split the money with him if he pretended to stop his car.

All that sure makes me glad I don't have a Toyota. My bro-in-law got a Prius a few years ago. It was a nice ride until a couple of years later when I rode in it again. EEKKK! The electronic smell was bad. I could smell the batteries all over the car. No, thanks, I won't ever get an hybrid.

I've had a few as car rentals....some of the least satisifying miles I have ever had....terrible handling....numb steering.....the list goes on....the only pluss was the gas milage....and I guess perhaps it might make some folks feel better about doing "their" part....I bet they never saw the articles about how much envormental destruction occurs from battery production/recycling/disposal.....even done right ni-metal and ni-cads are pretty scary when envormental considerations are taken into account....running a car on propane or CNG is a better option IMO....I have driven both....and saw no differance....and they were both addons....factory oem might be better!!

nawwww, but we had a few.....
Learned stick on a Toyota Hilux pick up when I was 14, even drove it to the town dump a few times....lol. Drove my Dad's Toyota Cressida when in HS....Talk about luxury liner. He had a 82 - 3dr Corolla SR5 1.8L lift back too, with the two tone silver black...shweeet car. Drove my brother's Toyota Corolla 4x4 wagon before he shipped out to MSO Providence office. It was like a Subaru square back and fun to take to the range. While in the service, I purchased my first brand new car....Toyota Starlet 3dr. Great on gas going back and forth from the base but had no B--ls. Then got into VW's GTi's when they came out. No more Toyota cars after that until 2004 when I purchased a white Celica GTS. Had brake problems with that, and the dealer in Dartmouth tried ripping me off for new brake system for 2K dollars.....they later apologized and gave me a set of new floor mats...
I think to some degree as owners of dealerships were no longer hand picked, their customer service went a bit down hill from there. But in all honesty, comensurate with everything else these days......

That's because the media has the health care law to freak us out about now. Like I said...it was the distraction that was pushed to the front of the news to distract people....it was something concreate that average Joe could kinda understand...and help to make people think corporations are evil....and help people forget how good the goverment is at messing things up.......

Wow, this whole thing just gets better.... The Chevy Volt looks almost just like the Toyota Prius. Knock out the competition, then come up with a similar car with different badging....lol. That's the Chicago way Why don't you piss on Honda too for using the same shape in the new Insight. The powertrain on the Volt is different than either of them.

Cause HONDA came out with their Insight first before anyone else.....and HONDA made / sells their newer version of the Insight based on their own merits long before Mr. Toyoda was forced to travel to DC....lol.

Heck, when you let a windtunnel design cars, they all look the same if you want the same # of seats!! The CRX from Honda was VERY slick (the HF was at one point the slickest production car made till the first gen Insight Hybird came out!!)....look at the Volt, Insight, and the Prius...notice something....very similar shape!! Now look at the CRZ from the side...the all share the same basic roof/trunk line.....just shifted around to get a second row off seats if needed!! They all make the same basic compromise, with rear visibility, to get the best aero possible... I am surprised to see the Volt did not have a different back, and a rear facing camera+display to get better Aerodynamics!!

Yeah, but the Buick Grand National and even some Monte Carlo production cars were referred to in NASCAR as "aerodynamic Bricks ". Because although they had squared off corners, it was still slick at high speeds for a boxy shape.....
And while some of what you say is very true, Actual glazing ( windows ) shapes, belt lines and other rear dressings do not fall into that catagory however.
