So, I've been looking at the CAIs and SRIs for my 07 Corolla.  Anyone have a recommendation or a reason to use one or the other?

Thanks everyone  Thumbs Up! Smiley

Look at K&N, they're a bit pricey, but they're good.

I had no idea you could get a K&N intake for a regular Corolla.
Tim, it's not an S, is it?

Oh and on tires, give discounttiredirect.com a try.   Had an awesome buying experience with them, highly recommend.   They'll pricematch AND ship for free.   Tirerack.com was good, but I paid $80 for shipping for my snows.

But like Pete said, shop around.   Google is thy friend.   Wink

Tim, ebay is where I found half of my recent mods.    Definitely give it a look-see.   You can sort by model, year, new, and used parts.

I would like any help  Thumbs Up!  My K-Rolla is a 2007 LE 1.6L(I believe - gotta check the engine)

Wanna do TRD if possible...gotta rock the racing development  Grin

Here is what I have found already - Link to Google Doc

Dave, Here is a list from 9thGenCorolla.com of all the different Mods possible for the Corolla - Holy Mods BATMAN!

I'd like to do:
1) All-Seasons
2) TRD Rear Sway
3) SRI/CAI
4) Front Strut Bar
5) 03-08 Altis 2nd gen red LED taillights

Remove the rear Toyota and Corolla LE, just keeping the symbol.  Also doing this: Remove Side Molding

So whatcha guys think?!  Grin Thumbs Up!

I thought you were going to get lower profile tires?
Maybe something a bit wider than 195, perhaps 205's, or would they be too wide for your ride?

What size wheels do you have?

Wheels are 195/65/15 - Goodyear Integrity.  I'd have to price out new rims then Thumbs Up!. I'll check out the tire place you got your tires from dave. Did you like that list of mods on 9thGen? Haha it's a ton of things, many of which I won't actually attempt.

Tim,
You should maybe think about getting some summer performance tires, for the extra handling, and later in the season, some snow tires.  Thumbs Up!

That's what I'm planning...

What's the point of bothering to get good all weather tires when you still need snows? Blah.

So Quoting is not working in Firefox for me  Angry

Pete - Recommendation on Performance Tires? All this researching car stuff is new to me - I've always had crap cars that a)I didn't have money to put into them & b)it wasn't worth fixing up.
I am totally into makin the KRolla go faster  Thumbs Up! and handle better (ultimate test - how fast can we go around the 495/290 ramp  Grin)

Now I know why my bro had fun with putting stuff into his cars - an S2000 and then later a WRX.

Good Tire Brands: Pirelli, Yokohama, Dunlop to name a few and in fact that's pretty much all i look at as far as tires go.

Nitto is good too (Dave and Jer)
